Dot-matrix origination builds the image from thousands of individually oriented diffraction dots, which produces sweeping movement and rapid colour change as the angle shifts. It is the most eye-catching of the hologram types and the hardest to approximate with a printed imitation, because the motion is not something a flat print can fake.
