About this range
A scratch panel does one thing well: it proves a code has not been seen before. That makes it the foundation of verification schemes, recharge coupons, loyalty promotions and warranty registration, because a code that has already been claimed tells you immediately that something has gone wrong. The panel has to be opaque enough that the code cannot be read by holding it to a light, and it has to come off cleanly with a coin without taking the code with it.
