Overview
A water-slide decal has almost no thickness, so once applied and sealed it reads as though it were printed directly onto the object. That makes it the standard method for decorating ceramics, glassware, instrument dials and scale models, where a self-adhesive label would show its edges and refuse to follow the curve.
