Overview
Wax-resin is the ribbon most operations should be using and often are not. Pure wax is cheaper but smears under a fingernail; full resin is tougher but costs more and is wasted on paper. Wax-resin sits between them: it bonds properly to coated paper and semi-gloss facestocks, resists smudging and light abrasion, and handles the majority of barcode and despatch work without complaint.
