Overview
This is the hologram and the tamper-evident construction working together: the holographic image proves the seal is genuine, and the destructible or void base proves it has not been lifted and reapplied. Without the second half, a convincing hologram can simply be peeled off a genuine pack and moved to a counterfeit one — which is exactly the attack these programmes exist to prevent.
