Overview
Ribbon choice decides print durability far more than printer choice does. Wax is economical and right for paper labels handled indoors; wax-resin resists smearing on coated stock; full resin bonds to synthetics and survives solvents, steam and abrasion. We slit to the exact width and core your printer takes, because an oversized ribbon wears the printhead unevenly and an undersized one lets debris onto it. There is no universal ribbon — a wax ribbon on polyester will simply wipe off.

Can Thermal Ribbon be made in a custom size or shape?
Yes. Cutting tools are made on our own premises, so a custom die profile is a matter of days rather than a wait on an outside toolmaker. Send the dimensions, a drawing or a sample of the container and we will confirm the tooling and quote it.
What is the minimum order quantity for Thermal Ribbon?
Quantities are quoted per job rather than fixed, because the economics change with the size, the number of colours and the material. Tell us the run size you have in mind and we will tell you honestly whether it is viable and what it costs.
How do I supply artwork?
Print-ready PDF, AI, EPS or CDR with 3 mm bleed and fonts converted to outlines. If you do not have artwork we can set it from your logo and copy. Nothing goes to plate or die until you have approved a digital proof.
